I put any formula i.e. =1+1, but result is =1+1 instead of 2. Pl. help

Is the cell that you are entering the formula into formatted as text instead
of general ?

If you need to change the format to text, you'll then ned to re-enter the
formula (F2 to get into formula edit mode, then enter).

Just press the Cntrl+Tilde button (~)

The Tilde Button will be available above the Left Tab Button.

Just go to the TOLLS - OPTIONS - VIEW TAB - under "WINDOW
OPTIONS" - UNCHECK THE FORMULAS.
