"Centre Across Selection" and character limit
The problem I have been having is when I type text into a cell it limits me
to displaying over 255 characters and instead displays #### Following advise, I have "avoided merged cells like the plague" and have now tried using centre across selection instead but I am still getting the same problem. I have tried using alt+enter less than every 100 characters but the display character limit is still occuring and shows ####, even in print preview. Note: I have read most of the threads regarding this and have tried: I am not using multiple monitors I have tried the Run: Excel /o command I am running Excel 2003 |

Change the cell's format to General (or anything but Text).
