Deleting rows with formulas is very slow
I have excel 2003 and everytime I delete rows in a worksheet where there are
formulas on the worksheet, it takes a long time for the rows to delete. I normally turn the calculation setting to Manual before deleting, but sometimes forget. When I used to have excel 97 I never experienced this problem. Any thoughts? |

Any thoughts?
Deleting a row will force recalculation. Perhaps in your E97 worksheets you had less formula. Actually, when this first starting happening in E03 I still had E97 on
another machine, so I tried the same file on both machines and E97 was much faster. As we speak I am deleting rows in a E03 worksheet with formulas and I'm 45 minutes in and its still not done. Granted its several thousand rows I'm deleting. "Mike H" wrote: Any thoughts? Deleting a row will force recalculation. Perhaps in your E97 worksheets you had less formula.
