Typing Over Pivot Table Rows and Columns
Hi:
Quite by accident, I found that I can type over the value of a row or column dimension in a pivot table (but not a value). The only way to clear the type in value is to completely clear the pivot table and start it over. Refresh does not cure the problem. Ex: Column Bob Jon Mark Row Mon 2 3 4 Tue 6 8 9 If I change "Tue" to "Black", it shows like: Column Bob Jon Mark Row Mon 2 3 4 Black 6 8 9 The only way I can get it to say "Tue" again is to clear the entire pivot table. Refreshing doesn't do it. Has anyone else see this? Thanks, Dwight |

Cut/Paste the offending source column elsewhere. Refresh. Cut/Paste back. Refresh. This is also a good way to "Sort in data source order", but check "Manual Sort" and "Retain None". |
