Pivot (Data Items "Count" vs "Sum")
Excel2003 ... Pivot Chart Data Items appears to default to "Count" ... I wish
this to be "Sum" ... Is there a way to do this before dragging Items from the Pivot Table Field List to the "Drop Data Items Here" Section ... or ... must I do this 1x1 after moving to "Drop Data Items Here" Section. Also ... if there is another option ... I will certainly entertain it ... :) Thanks ... Kha |

Ken, you can't change the default settings for the data fields. If a
field contains blank cells, or cells with text, it will default to COUNT. Otherwise, it will SUM. There's a feature that changes all the data fields to SUM, or any other summary function, in my pivot table add-in, that you can download he http://www.contextures.com/xlPivotAddIn.html Ken wrote: Excel2003 ...
