Default 2003 spreadsheet - gridlines won't print when opened in 2007

Help! When I open a spreadsheet in 2007 that was created in an earlier
version, I go to Pagelayout and I check off that I want to view and to print
the gridlines. When I look at the spreadsheet in print preview they are
there but then when I print they do not print.

Any thoughts??!!
