Update Files Automatically with Links
Here is my dilemma. I have several files that have a link to a pricing
sheet. I normally have to change the price and then open and update each file to show the changes I made on the link page. Is there a short cut where when I update the link page and save it that it would automatically update all the pages it is linked too? I have so many files it almost takes half a day to open and close every file to update the links. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Chris |
Update Files Automatically with Links
It sounds like you are trying to "push" the changes into the linked files. As
this is essentially changing the workbooks, and requires saving them, it sounds like the path you're on is unchangeable. Why do you need to push the changes though? Ideally, the update would occur whenever one of the files is opened (and needed). If no one is opening the file, why update it? If there is a 3rd workbook which is trying to link to the aforemention unopened workbooks, perhaps you should have "that" workbook link to the price info in 1st workbook. -- Best Regards, Luke M *Remember to click "yes" if this post helped you!* "Chris" wrote: Here is my dilemma.
