Right click mouse menu for insert does not work
Can anyone help me please? The Insert menu when I use my right click is
shaded meaning I can't use it anymore when I want to insert a row. I normally highlight a row and use this Insert function with the right click. I do not have this Essbase thing installed so it's not that. I tried some suggestions on adding macro but it didn't work either. It used to be there for me but not anymore. The interesting thing is if I want to insert a column and highlight a column, the Insert function is available to me. Can someone please help me figure this out? I've been trying to fix this since last week. Thanks! |

First, if this problem only occurs with a single worksheet, then maybe the
worksheet is protected. If you start a new worksheet in a brand new workbook, do you have the same problem? If yes: Try resetting that row toolbar first. Open your workbook. Open the VBE (where macros live) (alt-f8 will get you there fast) hit ctrl-g (to see the immediate window type this and hit enter: application.CommandBars("Row").Reset Then back to excel to test. Sounds like it has been "protected" so that new rows can not be created.
