cant open excel worksheet from shortcut
 

When I try opening a excel worksheet from the shorcut on my desktop I get a
blank blue screen with no grid lines and no data. I can click on file and
open a recently viewed spreadsheet from that open program. How do I get back
the path to my excell documents from the shortcut?
