counting a row of cells
 

I have a row of cells that are counting contacts, but I only need to count
that there was a contact made from that row.

3 2 3 1 TOTAL FATHERS MAKING CONTACT

I'm afraid I don't understand the question

If the answer to row 3 is in F3 how do we get 1 as the answer? What is the
logic?

I have a row of cells indicating each week how often a person makes contacts
with their children and with others. I only need to count the person who
made the contact , so I can come up with a total of persons making contact.
Did I explain it better?

Do you mean
=COUNT(A1:F1)
