adding the sum of a series of cells
 

normally when i select about 10 cells in a row the numbers in those cells
will be added at the bottom of the spreadsheet in a little box that says sum.
now it won't do it anymore. what's wrong? this doesn't happen for every
spreadsheet just some.

Just take your mouse to the bottom of spreadsheet and do right cick from your
mouse and change the tick mark to Sum.
