conditional formatting
 

I have an excel spredsheet (2000 )and the conditional formatting is ghosted
out
why is this and can I make it work. I want to have a cell change color when
the letter "V" is in the cell

If the worksheet is protected, unprotect it.

If the workbook is shared, unshare it.

This is a shared work book and I do have full control -- also the protect
work book and protect work sheet is ghosted out

Which is normal when a workbook is shared.
