keeping number formats
Hi,
I'm using Excel 2007 I have a table with columns showing activity and cost. How can i set the pivot table so that when i include activity and /or cost into the table the activity is formatted as a number ie 1, 100, 25 and the cost is formatted with the currency sign, is £25, £235, £3,425 etc. I format the currency, but if i remove the curreny from the table and then put it back in again, the formatting is lost, can anyone help please? Thanks Ahmed |

select pivot table | go to options | click options under pivottable |
under layout and format tab | check : preserve cell formatting on update | ok now change cell formatting.
