graphics properties changes when opening Excel

Whenever I open Excel, my computers graphic properties changes from 32 bit
colour to 8 bit. Other applications in Office don't do the same thing. This
originally happened when I was networked to our other PC which runs XP, so
now Excel is opening in compatability mode which I don't think it was in the
beginning.
Does anyone know how I can stop this problem or stop Excel opening in
Compatability Mode?
Thanks

graphics properties changes when opening Excel

Hi Zeb,

Not sure why the graphics are being changed but to stop Excel opening in
compatability mode click the office button -- Excel Options -- Save and
then under "Save workbooks" make sure that "Save files in this format:" is
set to "Excel Workbook" and not "Excel 97-2003 workbook".

If this helps please click "Yes"
