Maximum amount of numbers in one Cell
Is there any way to change the maximum amount of numbers that you can put in
a particular cell. I have users that are using Excel for Tracking numbers and some of them are greater than 15 digits. When these numbers are put into Excel it puts 0's for every digit after 15 digits. Is there any way to increase the amount of digits you can put in 1 particular cell? |

Start the value with an apostrophe (single quote).

Maximum amount of numbers in one Cell
If you require the number to remain a number for mathematical purposes then
there is not much that can be done. 15 significant digits is a limit of your computer and not of XL. At that point scientific notation takes over. If you only require text then either format the cells as text prior to entering the number or preceed the number with an apostophe '123456789123456789 -- HTH...
