Change default print settings Excel 2007

I am trying to "uncheck" the collate box on the print options for Excel 2007
and then save the worksheet. I would like it to work like this always.
When I retrieve the worksheet again and print, it always collates.

Where do I set the default print settings for Excel 2007?

Example: We have a new Konica Bizhub 320 and if you choose 4 copies it
waits a second between copies if the collate box is checked. If the box is
unchecked, the printer immediately prints out 4 copies. Our old copier never
did this, so I need to change the default print settings in Excel and I think
it will function properly.

I have tried "print" "properties" and uncheck "collate", I save it and when
I bring it back up, it still tries to collate.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Answer: Change default print settings Excel 2007

To change the default print settings in Excel 2007, follow these steps:
  1. Open Excel 2007 and click on the Office button in the top left corner of the screen.
  2. Click on "Excel Options" at the bottom of the menu.
  3. In the Excel Options dialog box, click on "Advanced" in the left-hand pane.
  4. Scroll down to the "Print" section and click on the "Print options" button.
  5. In the Print options dialog box, uncheck the "Collate" box and any other options you want to change.
  6. Click on "OK" to save the changes and close the dialog box.
  7. Click on "OK" again to close the Excel Options dialog box.

Now, whenever you print a worksheet in Excel 2007, it should use the default print settings you just configured. If you want to change the print settings for a specific worksheet, you can still do that by clicking on "Print" and then "Properties" before printing. However, the default settings should now be what you want them to be.

many printer options cannot be set with VBA, because the printer
options are under the control of Windows, not VBA. if you look in the
objects browser & search for "print" you can see all the things that
VBA can do with this operation, but you'll note there are things you
can't do by VBA.
sorry!

You probably need to set this in the printer's setup dialog rather than
trying to change it on a per-use basis in Excel.

Click the windows task bar [Start Button] and in the Settings flyout, choose
Printers and Faxes. Right-click on the specific printer and choose
[Properties]. Set the collate option from that dialog and see if it doesn't
help.

Rita,

You need to change the default settings for the printer, not Excel. Go to
Printers & Faxes in your control Panel. Find the printer you want, right
click and select properties. Now uncheck "Collate" and click OK. These are
now saved as your default print settings. Note that none of your documents
will collate once you do this.

If this helps please click "Yes"

these are settings for your printer not specific settings in excell.
go to control pannel - printers and faxes - selct your printer and change
the settings there.
