I just upgraded to 2007 and am disappointed with the faint highlighting color
when dragging and selecting groups of cells. I just installed SP2 Office update and it didn't fix that. Is there a setting that darkens the highlight color? Thanks |

Click on the pearl (the circle in upper left).
At the bottom, select Excel Options. Select Advanced. Scroll to the Display section. Uncheck "Show function Screentips". Select OK button at the bottom. That will disable it. am disappointed with the faint highlighting color
Welcome to the club! Unfortunately there's no setting in Excel that will change this. You can try adjusting your monitor contrast/tint/light/dark to see if that makes any difference. -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "JimAA" wrote in message ... Thanks, not the answer I was hoping for but it does help somewhat. Why would
they change that? This is one step backward in functionality. "T. Valko" wrote: am disappointed with the faint highlighting color Welcome to the club! Why would they change that?
Good question. Here's my guess... You'll notice that Excel 2007 uses a lot of "pastel" coloring themes. So that light shade of blue falls into that scheme. There have been many complaints about this, myself included. Although I don't have any advance knowledge I'd be willing to bet that in the upcoming release of Excel 2010 this will be corrected/changed. -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "JimAA" wrote in message ...
