change cell data without leaving cell?

(excel 2002)

Sometimes I just want to try various values in some cell. So, type a
value, <enter, <up arrow, type a new value, <enter, <up arrow ...

Not a big deal, but if there was a way to 'enter' the new value without
leaving the cell, I'd use it.

Thanks,
G

Use <ctrl and <Enter
then <F2 to get back into the cell
