Derivative
 

It would be most useful if MS Excel could include a derivative function in
the program, as it is quite a pain to do so manually.

Do you mean that you want Excel to be able to differentiate a mathematical
expression (with respect to one (or more?) of its dependent variables)?
Or do you just want to find the slope in a particular region?
