Open old XLS file without receiving notification

Hello,
I'm trying to open SAP exported .xls file in the Office 2007 Excel, but I
receive warning notification "The file you are trying to open, "test.xls", is
in a different format than specified by the fil eextension. Verify that the
file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file.
Do you want to open the file now?"
How to suppress this window?
thank you

Hi bolsoi,

Simple: make sure the extension matches the file format.

What do you mean by this? I am getting the same message when I try to open
a .xls file in Excel 2007. How can I turn off this message?

Hi Sue,

Are you sure the file you're trying to open is a pre-Excel 2007 Excel file? The warning suggests it's not (ie maybe it isn't an
Excel file at all, or maybe it's an Excel 2007 file, which should have an xlsx or xlsm extension).
