Merging over hidden rows
I am trying to merge two spreadsheets with some (but not all) common rows. I
have therefore hidden the non-common rows in each of the two sheets in order to copy and merge data only the common rows. Although it is possible to choose to copy FROM only visible rows. it is not possible to copy TO only visible rows. Or am I missing something? Is there another way of doing this? |
Merging over hidden rows
As you have noticed, you can't paste onto hidden rows or columns.
"Not same size" error message. I would copy all sheet1 to sheet2 then use DataFilterAdvanced filter to find unique records only and copy those visible cells to a new sheet. Or you could copy/paste to below all data on the same sheet then delete original data.
