Selecting Cells
 

I'm trying to select 2 cells next to each other and merge them but no matter
where I click on the spreadsheet it is automaticall selecting 4 cells and I
can't get it to stop? I am using Excel 2007. Any help? thanks

Try changing the Zoom level up or down a couple of points.

As an added note: beware of the problems that merged cells can cause with
many Excel functions like copying, cutting, pasting, sorting, filtering.
