Inserting Rows at Excel 2007

I can not insert rows or column in excel workobook and sheet I am working
now. But, new sheets can insert rows or columns. Is there a limit in
inserting rows and columns. And, also the TRACE PRECEDENTS stop functioning
in this workbook.

Is the worksheet protected?

Do you have anything (data/comments) in the last row and last column?

Do you get an error message?
