Default Excel

I have Dell Notebook and when I color or shade cells, the colors do not show
up on my worksheet that I am actually working on and looking at. Yet when I
print it, all the colors and shade are there. Any ideas why?

Might be the display settings:

Start Settings Control Panel Accessability Options Display make
sure High Contrast is un-checked.
