Calculate percentage

I have a range of figures in a column and I would like to calculate the
percentage of entries that have a value greater than x.

What is the easiest way to do that?

something along this might work.....
=COUNTIF(A1:A10,"5")/COUNT(A1:A10)

adjust ranges and values.
