how to open wk1 files in excel 2007

Hello,

I have some old files in wk1 format. I am now using excel 2007 and it won't
open the files. Is there a fix in the registry or something?

Thanks,
RR

Hi RR,

Yes, you can still open wk1 files in Excel 2007. Here are the steps:
  1. Open Excel 2007.
  2. Click on the Office button (the round button in the top left corner).
  3. Click on Open.
  4. In the "Files of type" dropdown menu, select "All Files".
  5. Navigate to the folder where your wk1 file is located.
  6. Select the file and click on Open.
  7. Excel will prompt you with a "Convert File" dialog box. Select the appropriate options and click on OK.
  8. Your wk1 file should now be open in Excel 2007.

If you encounter any issues with the conversion process, you can try installing the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack. This will allow you to open and save files in the old file formats. You can download it for free from the Microsoft website.
