Hi Malaki,

Yes, you are correct that Excel 2007 can provide over a million rows. The default number of rows in Excel 2007 is 65,536, but you can increase this number to 1,048,576.

Here are the steps to increase the number of rows in Excel 2007:
  1. Open Excel 2007 and click on the Office button in the top left corner.
  2. Click on the Excel Options button at the bottom of the menu.
  3. In the Excel Options window, click on the Advanced tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Display options for this worksheet section.
  5. In the box labeled "Show this number of Recent Documents", change the number to 0 (zero).
  6. In the box labeled "Include this many sheets", change the number to the maximum number of sheets you will need.
  7. In the box labeled "Allow editing of cells with formulas in protected sheets", uncheck the box.
  8. In the box labeled "Maximum number of rows", change the number to 1,048,576.
  9. Click OK to save the changes.

Once you have completed these steps, you should be able to see all the rows in your worksheet. Keep in mind that increasing the number of rows can also increase the size of your file, so make sure your computer has enough memory to handle the larger file size.

Office button/Excel Options/"Save" section - make sure the top dropdown
doesn't say ".xls", but says ".xlsx" or ".xlsm" etc.
All new workbooks will not have 1048576 rows.
If you're opening a file which was created in 2003 or earlier, then you
still will get 65536 rows. To increase this yuo need to convert it to 2007:
Office button/Convert.
