Opening Excel, Book1 opens, remains open with other workbook open

I played around with recording Macro's (2007). Now when I open Excel, Book1
opens. I then open another workbook, and Book1 remains open on the taskbar. I
close the newly opened workbook, and must then close Book1 as well. How can I
revert back to the default way it was before?
