How do I insert an object into a cell?

When I click on Insert, object is greyed out

That's because Excel doesn't support placing Images in cells. Best you
can do is paste it on the surface of the Sheet in that cells location.

You can't insert an object into a cell. Just lay it on top.

Back to your problem............

If your InsertObject is grayed out it may be that your sheet is protected.

Or it may be a shared workbook.
