Change all of the cells in a row(s) by a percentage

I need to change several different rows some are side by side and some not. I
have tried several different things but nothing seems to work. Our yearly
budget has been move to me and now I need to make several changes, some rows
will go up by percentages and some row down by percentages. I don't want to
have to phyically change every cell is there some way I can select a row or
rows and increase the amount by a given percentage. I would apprciate any
help I could get.

Thanks
Danny

Change all of the cells in a row(s) by a percentage

Hi,

Put the % you want to multiply by in a cell e.g. 1.05 for 5% and copy that
cell

Select your row and then
Edit|Paste special
Select Multiply
OK

Suppose you want to increase a few cells by 5% (which is 1.05), then
put 1.05 in an empty cell somewhere, and <copy that cell. Then
highlight the cells that you want to change (if they are not
contiguous then you can hold down the CTRL key while you select them),
then Edit | Paste Special | Values (check) | Multiply (check) | OK
then <Esc. Then you can delete the 1.05 from the original cell.

If you want to decrease by 5% then you should start with 0.95 in the
cell.

Hope this helps.
