Custom format

I have a column of 13 digit numbers imported from another program. They all
end in 000. I need to first remove the 000 and then format them to look like
this 123-45678-90.
TIA for your help.

Hello Marta-

As long as 000 appears nowhere other than at the end of each cell's content,
you can use Ctrl+H (Find & Replace) and put 000 in the 'Find what:' field,
don't put anything in the 'Replace with:' field. If 000 does appeare
elsewhere, you can still use this technique, but you have to use the Replace
button instead of Replace All.

For the format, select the cells and go to Format CellsNumber and select
Custom at the bottom of the list. Type 000-00000-00 in the 'Type:' field &
click OK.
