Remove Background Viewed Columns
I have a spreadsheet table. want to remove the surrounding rows and columns

Remove Background Viewed Columns
Work with a copy of your workbook in case things don't go the way you expect.
Simply Select the rows to remove (you can do that by selecting the row numbers on the left side of the worksheet) then use Edit -- Delete to physically remove them. Do the same for columns you don't want (select the columns by selecting their column letters at the top of the sheet); then Edit -- Delete also. Hope this helps. "Janet A. You cannot remove; but you can hide... --Select the row beneath the table. To select the row click on the row header or press (Shift + Spacebar) --Using Shift+Ctrl+DownArrow select all rows down --From menu FormatRowHide --Select the column after the last column.
