Carol, some of this depends on what you mean by "highlighted" and what you
want to do/mean by "pull". Chip Pearson has done a world of work with dealing with cells that have color applied to them ( hightlighted? ). These two pages give you some information on that kind of thing, with the second page describing certain things that you can do that he has provided functions for via a file to download and use. While the first page indicates he's only talking about sorting by color, it leads to more functions and is a good introduction to what he provides on the second page listed below. http://www.cpearson.com/excel/SortByColor.aspx http://www.cpearson.com/excel/Colors.aspx "Carol330" wrote: I have a spreadsheet (50 pages). 4000 line entries. How are the entries highlighted?
By coloring manually all the same color? One method......................... Select all cells. EditFindFormatFormatPattern.........pick the pattern and "find all" After the finding and with the "found" dialog still open hit CTRL + a to select the founds. EditCopy then paste to another worksheet. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Fri, 21 Aug 2009 07:15:01 -0700, Carol330 wrote: I have a spreadsheet (50 pages). 4000 line entries.
