Fill Series is disabled in Excel 2003 worksheet
 

The Fill Series normally works but in the spreadsheet I am working in, this
option is disabled from the both the Toolbar-Menu - Edit - Fill -Series AND
from the Pop-up menu by right clicking. Any assistance would be welcome.

I've recently experienced the same problem. Searched the web for the solution without success. But, I found out the solution after I looked at the sheet carefully. The Fill Series function is disabled because of filtering the list with Filter function of Excel.
