Excel2000/2007 Protection & Auto Filter

I have an excel spreadsheet created in Excel 2000 that is protected, but it
contains some VB that allows the Auto Filter and Hyperlink functionality to
remain active, once the file has been opened in Excel 2007 and saved (in
97/2000 compatability mode) the Auto Filter no longer works, but the
hyperlinks do. Any ideas?
