Hi people, i have set up a training spreadsheet with names and tasks, each
task under each name has a drop down list for level of training required,
level 1,2,3, level 1 = competent and turns green, 2 = more training required
and turns yellow, and so on, how can i then get the cell with persons name to
turn green when all tasks are level 1 and green. Thanks in anticipation of
your help.

Hi,

This question is not clear. Basically you want to use conditional
formatting.

If you want to format A1 to green if B1 = level 1 then

Select cell A1 and choose Format, Conditional Formatting, from the first
drop down pick Formula is, and in the second box enter =B1="Level 1", click
the Format button and pick the Fill tab and choose green.

Hi Richard.

Use Conditional formatting.
Click on Format - Conditional Formatin - select "Cell Value is" - "equal to"
- and type in "Level 1" and choose green color from the format menue under
the "Patterns" tab. Repeat for Level 2 & 3. The limit with conditional
formatting is 3 conditions, which should work for you based on the
description below.

Below is part of the table i setup, when all tasks are level 1 i want the
cell with the name in to turn green, the previous answers do not achieve
this, but thanks for trying to help and please keep trying, this is not
important i would just like to do it.
