Hiding rows

I have a list of assets in rows A1 to A200. Underneath each asset heading I
want to add a sub-asset which I can hide from view when required. I have
tried using "Groups" but this gives me a + sign in the row underneath the
main asset description. Is there any way that the + sign can be next to the
main heading?

If you have a better idea of how to do this please let me know also.

Thanks.

Hiding rows

I'm not sure which one is the main heading, but maybe...

Data|Group and Outline|Settings|Uncheck Summary rows below detail
(xl2003 menus)

You can also hide the outlining symbols:
tools|options|view tab|uncheck Outline Symbols

For the summary rows to be on top try the below

Uncheck 'Summary rows below detail' from menu DataGroup and OutlineSettings

If this post helps click Yes
