How do I fix problems with the external USB 10-key pad?
 

I use a kensington 10-key pad for entering a lot of data. Whenever it is a
negative number and I select the "-" key it activates the "Ext" function in
the worksheet. Is there a way to turn that off? Is it a setting? It really
hampers data entry.

I have no idea.

But I know that F8 (on regular old keyboards) is the Ext shortcut key in excel.

Maybe you can find a forum dedicated to Kensington products--maybe their own
website????

Maybe you can ask if you've remapped (by accident) that key or how to map it to
something else????
