Using Excel for Decision Making

Many years ago I used a software program called Decide Right that allowed a
user to enter outcomes (buy a honda, or buy the chevy, or buy the ford), a
set of decision factors (costs the least, gets good gas mileage, easy to
maintain), a way to weight the criteria (cost is more important then easy to
maintain) and then a way to rate the factors against the outcomes (honda is
"great" for gas but chevy is "good" for gas mileages),

Are there any add ons or excel products for doing this kind of thing in excel?

Thanks in advance

You can try the Solver add-in.
It is included with Excel but you will have to load it from Tools | add-ins
The Excel help file has some useful info and there is a Solvsamp.xls workbook
in the office/samples folder with multiple examples ready to go.
Pack a lunch.
