Get excel to automatically go to the next cell w/o pressing enter
After I enter something in a cell I would like the selected cell to move to
the next cell without having to press enter. Is this possible? If so, how do I do it? |

What are the conditions that excel will know you are done entering data? Would it be after a space, or period, or some other end of a sentence punctuation, but if you are entering numbers will it always be the same number that is last, or will it be the same number of numbers? How will excel know you are done? Mike Rogers "AMR" wrote: After I enter something in a cell I would like the selected cell to move to the next cell without having to press enter. Is this possible? If you plan to always enter the same number of characters in a cell, it
could be done. Otherwise, you will have problems. For example, what if you want to type 25 in a cell? You type the "2" and the subroutine moves you to the next cell because you've entered something and you're never allowed to enter the "5" to complete "25". The Enter key is how you tell the application you're through typing in the data for that cell. Explain the type data you're entering and someone might have some options for you.
