Start here

Ron,
Either the instructions are wrong or I have failed to follow them but I
could not get it to work.

Hi,

For the basic images:

1. Press Alt+1, and choose Customize
2. Choose Macros from the Choose command from drop down
3. Find your macro on the left side, and double-click it
4. Select the new button on the right side and click the Modify button at
the bottom right.

--
If this helps, please click the Yes button.

Cheers,
Shane Devenshire

My guess would be the latter.

Ron's instructions are always correct in my estimation.

Shane,
I have opened my Excel 2007 workbook and pressed Alt +1. Whats supposed to
happen? I don't see Customize. However I think I know where your going and
I've been there.
If this gives me one of the microsoft icons. I don't want one of thoses. I
want one of my own.

Hi,
I follwed steps 1, 2 and 3 ok. The line Use Browse to select the add-in and
then click OK got me beat. A new window opens titled Browse. The box next to
Look In has Addins in it but there is nothing listed in the area below.
Not sure what to do, sorry.

Sorry Ron, I'm still at a loss. I'm new with this so dont give up on me.
you say "Browse to the folder where you have saved the add-in and select it
and press OK"
This may sound stupid but I have not saved any add in. I created a custom
toolbar using excel 2003. the toolbar is part of the workbook. I am now using
Excel 2007.
Should I be going to where I have saved your "My Add-in.xlam" and selecting
that file?
I'm not a whizz kid so it may take a bit more explaining for me to understand.

You not follow the steps on this page
http://www.rondebruin.nl/imageqat.htm

But now I read this I think you better create a custom Tab
This is not easy.

Follow the basic steps on this page and download the example workbooks
http://www.rondebruin.nl/ribbon.htm

You can use your own images on a custom Ribbon Tab if you want

After you play with information above post back for more help
