IF formula to conditionally format a cell

Sorry for the blank post, I hit enter to move to this box...

Here is my question. I have a spreadsheet where I want "C29" to say... If
"N41 is <= 1594 then shade C29 to red if not leave it normal. Can this be
done?

IF formula to conditionally format a cell

Select C29 and go to Format|Conditional Formatting and select Formula Is
from the 1st drop down menu.

Enter formula: =$N$41<=1594

Click Format and choose from the Pattern tab .

IF formula to conditionally format a cell

Select C29, click Format/Conditional Formatting from the menu bar, select
"Formula Is" from the first drop down box and put this formula in the blank
field that shows next to it...

=AND(C29<=1594,C29<"")

Now click the Format button and select the Patterns tab on the next dialog
box that appears... choose a color for the cell and then OK your way back to
the worksheet. That cell should now do what you want.

Rick --

I'm trying to do something similar jwith 3 different color coding options.
I've tried setting multiple target parameters using IF functions and 3
conditional formats, but it doesn't seem to be working. I.E., in cell B36 --

*If the value in cell H3 is 60, I want B36 to turn green, OR
*If the value in cell H3 is <60, but 30, I want B36 to turn yellow, OR
*If the value in cell H3 is <30, I want B36 to turn red

Any ideas?
