When I hit 'enter' on a formula, nothing happens.

I used to be able to hit 'enter' on a formula and it would move to the cell
that was referenced in the formula. Now is doesn't do anything. 'm
wondering if I mistakenly changed one of the excel settings. Any help would
be most appreciated.

Look in the Tools|Options Edit tab.. you should be able to choose
your move selection after Enter.

Are you thinking of the Name Box (it is the empty TextBox to the left of the
Formula Bar)? If you type in a cell (or range) address in the Name Box and
then hit the enter key, Excel will select that cell (or range) for you.
