Any Way to Use Vlookup in Reverse?

Is there any formula in Excel that works like "vlookup", but reads right to
left?

I know there are workarounds for this (namely, repeating columns), but I
encounter this more than I'd think and it would be nice to have a better
solution. Using Excel 2003.

Thanks!

Chris

Here's the general idea:

...........A..........B
1.......Joe........a
2.......Sue.......b
3......Tom......c
4......Liz........d

Lookup the name associated with b.

D1 = lookup value = b

=INDEX(A1:A4,MATCH(D1,B1:B4,0))
