When adding numeric fields to the Values section of a pivot table, is there a
way to have the Value Field Settings default to Average rather than Sum?
Seems like a lot of clicks are required to change every field individually.

Sorry you cannot. If there are blank cells or cells with text the default
will be COUNT; or other wise it will be SUM.
