is there a way to have two different subtotals? One for the sum of cells, and
another for the count of cells?

Hi,

Yes, assuming you are using the Subtotal command?

Add one subtotal then begin the process again and do it for Count but turn
off the Replace current subtotals option.

If in a pivot table add the calculation field to the data area as second
time and change the calculation to Count in the Field Settings dialog box.
