Hi- In a cell consist of this number '24110100, I did try copy and paste special trying to get rid of this apostrophe " ' " in front of number and I'm not able to do so. The other way is to delete it, but I have thousands of numbers. Is there a better way to get rid of this apostrophe ' sign? Thanks, Soth |

Excel creates a text entry from the apostrophe. That's why you can't find
it. Use Text to Columns instead. Highlight the column. DataText to Columns NextNextFinish Regards, Fred. "Soth" wrote in message ... Hi, It says Excel can not find this ' to replace. Hi,
Do first text to columns, if it still doesn't find it, insert a column and enter this formula =trim(A1) change to your column, then copy this column as value over the original one "Soth" wrote: Hi, It says Excel can not find this ' to replace.
