sorting data in pivot table

I have a Pivot table with different word strings on the Row section and both
sum of Data and Count of word strings in the Data section and I can't figure
out how to sort the Rows after firstly Count of wordstrings and secondly sum
of the data. HOw can I do that?

Thank you so much for all help!

Hi,

I'm confused - Sum of word strings would all be 0, what are you really doing
here?

Second - the data is automaticlly sorted on the contents of the Row area
regardless of where you have a sum or a count in the data area - so why do
you want to sort the "rows"?

If you want to sort on the value area (data area) then the technique is
different depending on whether you are in 2003 or 2007, which one are you in?

The sum of the word strings is not 0 if there are some that are the same.

I would like to see the word strings in the order of how many times they
occur. The word string that is the most common in the most valuable to me.
Each word string has a value in another column of cell next to it. This is
the second criteria of how I would like to sort the word strings. The word
strings that are the most common AND has the highest value is the one I'm
looking for. That is why I would like to sort them after number of times they
occur firstly and the value of them secondly.

I'm in a developing country (USA) so I'm using Excel 2000.

Thank you for your time!!
