Identify (not delete) exact duplicates
Using Excel 2007
Im sure Ive seen a way to extract duplicates (or identify duplicates) into a new list somewhere on a spreadsheet i.e. I want to know what duplicates exist, not just eliminate all but one of them. Can I do this in Excel 2007? MUCH THANKS and ENJOY your week-end! Gene:) |

Identify (not delete) exact duplicates
I don't have version 2007 but believe that this will works
try this assuming your data are in column A2 to A11, place this formula in B2 and copy down =COUNTIF($A$2:$A$11,A2:A11)1 this will return TRUE, filter for TRUE and copy the range to another place on the sheet. You can slao use this in conditional format to highlight the duplicates -- Hope this is helpful Pls click the Yes button below if this post provide answer you have asked Thank You cheers, francis Am not a greek but an ordinary user trying to assist another "Gene" wrote: Using Excel 2007 Im sure Ive seen a way to extract duplicates (or identify duplicates) into a new list somewhere on a spreadsheet i.e. I want to know what duplicates exist, not just eliminate all but one of them.
