I need to see your formula and see if i can shrink it but the final sugestion
would be to split your formula in 2 cells i mean do half of your formula in
one cell and do the rest in another cell.

Thanks

I could do that but the workbook is complex enough already. The formulas are
long due to long pathnames in references, not due to complex operations, and
they work error-free as is. But I need to change the pathnames. Do you know
if there is a limit on number of characters or something else that is
specific to search & replace?

I think the limitation is 1024 characters well you need to make short the
file names and folder names. or see if your can go other way and make your
formula shorter.

Thanks. I'll start out working with the 1024 length.
